There really isn't anything that you can say bad about this place. It is close to town but very quiet. There is shopping two blocks away. They have a pool, hot tub, cafe, game room, mini-golf, Wi-Fi is very strong and fast and cable TV worked fine. The gardens (and there are a lot of flowers) are constantly attended. The help was helpful and knowledgeable. I stayed 3 days and would definitely do it again.

After having read some of the reviews, I'm wondering if I am in the same park. Yes, check-in can be hectic if you arrive at the wrong time of day, but the fact is, they take the time to go over the options in the park, and answer the questions about town. I was given the option of 11 sites and told to let them know which I took. I took site 77. It is level, close to bathouses and Wi-Fi (I can see the transmitter/receiver), is partially shaded and on a wide paved road. The gravel back-in spot is wide enough for the vehicle and I had a 3' concrete pad plus a 12' grass strip to the next pad on my right and an mature apple tree on about a 10' gap on my left. Bathrooms were clean. I have a class C and had no problem backing in from my blind side (I am alone). I definitely would return. In closing: the fact that this was the only CG in the area that was full, has to say something.

I would have given it an 8 if the Wi-Fi worked. They told me that they have had a problem for the last 3 weeks and can't get the outside provider to check the problem. Wi-Fi Rate is $11/day or $25/wk. Pretty steep for a low speed (11 mps). In fairness, the owners were raising cain with the operator and I do believe he is on the way out of here. As to anything else, I had no problem. Bathroom and showers were modern, immaculate and the hot water had softener. Cable TV worked fine, site was level, I had enough room for my slide. The last night I was here (I was here for 5 nights) a 30' class A backed in next to me without problem and he extended his slides with no problem. Owners were helpful and friendly. I'd stay here again.

Wasn't planning on stopping in Thermopolis but I'm glad I did. This park has it all together. The lots are level, there is grass, the Wi-Fi works great, the cable TV is good and all for a reasonable price.

Spent three nights here with one of the best views I have encountered for over a month on the road. Site was area "B", up a good hill but the site was as level as they come. Walkable (about 3/4 mile) to the St. Mary Visitor Center for Glacier Park and Going to the Sun Highway. Some of the tour vans stop at the CG, which is handy. Their cafe has great food. Wi-Fi is satellite based, so it is slow. The only gripe I have is the speed of some of the vehicles going through our area. And it is not policed by management. Other than that, it was fine

I had site B4, just above the office, and I can't be happier. When checking in, I asked about Wi-Fi and she said she'd put me in a sight where I could get it. And she did. Those that complain should at least ask at check in as to the availability. My site was the first one in 34 days of travel that was exactly level. That in spite of the fact that the CG is built into the side of a hill. It's quiet. Folks at the office are friendly and knowledgeable. I didn't care for the 30/20 amp shared power pole (1st come gets the 30 amp). The views are spectacular. It is about a 2k walk to the Olympic Park. The shuttle downtown ($12) was very handy. All told, the only reason I didn't give it a 10 are the roads (gravel) need some work. That said, it is on a hill. I definitely would return.

I agree with previous reviews, except the remarks about the bathrooms. They were old, but clean. Also, they were very private. Each had either a complete room (toilet, sink and shower) or a toilet. The view is spectacular - looking at the Duluth harbor and downtown and the hills beyond. My biggest gripe is how they assign spots. The 3 days I was here there wasn't much activity, but they park units next to each other. Also, and not their fault is the drawbridge horn - for that matter the drawbridge itself. Communication between ships and the bridge are very loud horn toots - at any time. Water & electric were fine, and spaces were wide enough for awnings. All in all, it was a good experience, and I would return.

Park is on a golf course. Check in was a little hectic because it is combined with golf check-in. That fact left me without any information except site and location. Approach highways and approach road are deplorable. Many holes and bumps. It is also quite a ways from anything. The site was good; power and water were adequate. I would, however, think that for that price, Wi-Fi would be available. Not so. I really would think twice about returning.

Everything is as stated in the reviews. Well kept, clean, quiet. The only two gripes I have is my site was about 3 degrees off level and the power and water pole was about 50' from the site. The staff were helpful. Wi-Fi worked well, but slow. I was here two nights. I would return.

Huge Park, but well maintained. Lots of amenities, especially for kids. Roads are paved;sites are level and wide; restaurant, laundry and store; bathrooms are clean. Everything worked well and yes the Oceana Naval Air Station is right behind he CG and you will have to hold your conversation for a couple of seconds, but they do quit at a reasonable hour. Stayed three days in a motorhome.

Yes, it is older, but to me the condition is more important and the condition of this park is being constantly updated. Maintenance was always checking things, bringing things up to snuff (during my stay peeling paint was redone in a bathroom stall). The sites were pretty level, hookups worked fine and sites are wide enough for slides and awnings. And yes, CSX trains come through regularly right next door, but so what. It's quiet otherwise. And best of all, they have a bus to all the area sightseeing. For a buck and a half all day pass, you can go all over the area. I camped here three days in a motorhome

It certainly was quiet, even for November. Only about 2 dozen campers. Rest rooms were clean, although it's strange there was no soap or towels/hand dryers. There is direct access to the beach in a couple of places and at night or when it is quiet, you can hear the surf pounding. Rangers passed through often. The only down side in my estimation was the lack of control over speed limits in the camp area including the rangers. 20-25 MPH was the standard. In fairness, the roads are paved, so there wasn't a dust problem like in some parks.

Very Large CG, but well run with large spots. Wi-Fi and Cable worked well. Bathrooms were excellent, showers were locked and spacious and clean. Many activities for both kids and adults. Store well stocked. Not really any cons. Would return.

Put it on your list! It is convenient to I74 and about 5 miles from Mayberry - er - Mt Airy, NC. The previous reviews about modernness are true, the hosts were friendly and helpful (if only I had followed his advice, my water lines wouldn't have frozen). Sits are gravel, wide and offer spectacular views. I only wish it wasn't just an overnight stop. Next time it will be for a few days.

They take credit cards! There are few parks in Maine that accept them that I almost ran out of cash. As to the park, a very nice place to stay. Staff was very helpful. Find a spot and tell them. As previously reported, the have any kind of spot you might want. Field(full sun), completely wooded or a combination of the two. Wi-Fi is only available on top of the hill, but worked well. The FREE shuttle bus stops at the campground and runs to the village green in Bar Harbor where you can connect with other shuttles for trips all over the area. A little cool for swimming, but the pool is large and well maintained. Speaking of maintenance, they are constantly doing things to the property. Looks like a full time employee devoted to it. From the prices I have seen and the conditions related of the other campground parks in the area, the is a pearl.

My lot was large, shaded, private, nice view of the tidal pond and level. The whole CG shows owner's attempt to make it top notch and keep it that way. Not mentioned in other reviews is the fact that they run a scheduled shuttle to the harbor for $1.00. Lots of activities available. Store is well stocked. Owners are friendly. Can't really come up with a negative.

I can understand why Woodall's gave them a 5. Lots are paved and surrounded by grass. Excellent playground for kids and adults. Showers are FREE (something rare in Maine). Also something equally rare is they take charge cards. Showers and bathrooms are very clean. They are centrally located and the water is hot. Newspaper was out font in the AM. Very nice.

This is a small park, totally open, on Quiddy Bay with all water sites. The biggest pro is the free showers which is very rare in Maine. They were clean, too. The only dislike was the fact that it wasn't crowded, but the owner put all the units close to each other. The park is close to things. The bridge to New Brunswick and Campobello is 5 minutes away. I ate at Uncle Kippy's which had good seafood and was reasonable.

Hear the pine needles dropping? That's how quiet it is. Lovely spot. Easy checkin. Bathroom/shower spotless. Nice pond with center fountain. Paddle boats for rent. Roads are gravel, but encountered no dust. Sites are levelo & grassy Open or wooded, your choice. Beautiful setting. Well maintained. WiFi worked well at campsite. Would definitely stay here again.

It is on the backside of Great Bay on the Squamscott River (a tidal river). The biggest negative on the campground is finding the entrance sign. it is small and across a Shell station from the actual entrance. Entrance roads are dirt. Campground roads are packed gravel. They have a dock on the river and a boat launch site. I saw canoes for rent. Sites were fairly level and shaded. It is handy to Portsmouth, the New Hampshire coast and other sites in eastern New Hampshire. I would return again.

I'm sorry I didn't have more time to spend. I was traveling home and stopped for the night. The park is on the Lake Huron side of the Mackinaw bridge in a nice cove. Spots are wide and shaded. Many activity areas - basketball court, beach, etc.It quieted down at 10. They have access to the tourist things in the area. Showers and toilets were very clean. Overall, the CG is well kept , even seasonal sites were kept up. Would stay here again (for longer next time).

Stayed here for EAA Airventure. Shady spots are mostly for seasonals. Balance of CG open. Roads packed gravel, dusty. The good: Sites are large. Room for awnings/slides. And in the area I was in, slightly downhill. Sites in this area were grassy ans mowed. The store is pretty well stocked with convenience items. Although no transient sewer sites that I saw, there is a free dump station. There is a playground for the little ones. For the most part it is quiet. The bad: Showers are old, in need of updating. They were also inconvenient to most of the campsite. Washrooms were old and moderately dirty. There are some very old portable toilets scattered about, Didn't check them. Speed limit is 5 mph, but not enforced. Consequently, a lot of dust as some cars went by at 20/25 mph. Overall, the best thing about this place is that it is one of the closest to the Airventure ground. 2 2/4 miles to the nearest gate. The price is right I would stay here for Airventure again, but not for anything else.

I can only mimic previous reports. The place is huge and mostly seasonal. I checked my odometer when leaving and it almost a mile from the beach to the office (east to west) and probably the same north to south. There is a lot of day activity (I stayed on the lake front) on the weekend, but it didn't interfere with the camping. As stated previously, the campground is mostly for the benefit of the seasonals and they are many. My only complaint and it is minor was that the water tasted like the plastic pipes that carried it. A the beach, there is a small trailer sandwich shop and another on in the central square. The central square is quite nice - a swimming pool, tennis a coffee shop, grocery store, rec hall and large courtyard with picnic tables. I will return.

Campground is located on Fish Creek (the outlet for Oneida Lake)about 2 miles from Sylvan Beach Sylvan Beach has restaurants and tourist attractions The area is very pretty (I grew up in the area).Syracuse, Utica or Romeare about a half hour from the campground. The campground is quiet. It appears there are many permanent residents, including a retirement section. Roads are stone and in need of more stone. The sites are large enough, but are not too level. Looks like fresh stone on the sites where I was, but the site inclined about 3 degrees down from the front. The area around my site had straw on it. Don't know if it was to cover the mud or grass seed was planted. The park was gated with a security card for entrance. Staff was helpful and friendly. One large disappointment were the showers. For $35 a night, showers should be free. They weren't. The showers were clean, but there was no heat (daytime temps were in 50's; nights in low 40's) and the shower curtains were stiff with age. There are a couple of other campgrounds in the area and I think I would look at them next time.

The cg is laid out in several sections. My lot was fairly level with full hookup. Roads are dirt and makes for a dusty environment when the wind is blowing right. Staff was friendly and helpful. Monitored the park on a regular basis. The park is about a half mile from Hwy. 401 and sometimes you could hear the road noise. but not often and not too loud. Appears to be many permanent residents. They were in an area of their own. A large pond has fish (catch & release). Wash room and showers were clean, free and large. Downtown Windsor is about 25 minutes away. I would stay there again.

Best feature is closest to Denali Park. Right in the middle of the Denali Commercial District. One mile from Park entrance. Walkable in good weather or via free shuttle from hotel across highway. Park is all gravel. Showers are pay type with tokens. Hard to operate and each token was of short duration. Average shower probable would cost $3. I would think twice before returning.

I was here for 5 days in September 2007. It is a great jumping off place to see Fairbanks. Bathrooms were always clean. Always hot water. Showers were spacious and clean. Hookups were easy. Wireless internet worked fine. The park is on the Chena River. Staff is helpful. They will arrange the tourist things and several tours will pick you up right at the park The park also has furnished cabins and a restaurant, They have a breakfast buffet worthy of a king. Cloth napkins and tablecloths too. The food was great and the price reasonable. I would definitely stay there again
